I could be Harlow's baby monkey-
I went to check out a college today...it was pretty nice and had that old British feeling. I wonder if there are ghost in there. Old nun ghosts. hehe!
They kind of had a counselling thing on and just as i was about to walk in for the interview king of thing, the sole of my shoe came off. had to happen, its the law.
So I hobbled my way in and laughed about it. I guess that's the only option. :|
Oh man, i just want to get admission somewhere. It's giving me sleepless nights! And my parents are going crazy, which is driving me crazy. I want to go watch a movie (something i havent done in sooo long) and all they can panic about is application forms.

You must have heard of Harry Harlow and his famous experiment about attachment?
If yes, then i am sure you find it as fascinating as i do. If no, well then, this is the gist-
Harlow was doing some experiment with baby monkeys that were kept secluded so that they wouldn't catch some kind of infection (his experiment was on immunity, no where near psychology) and he noticed that the baby monkeys were very attached to this piece of cloth in their cage. They would cling on to it all the time, and protest if they blankets were taken away for washing. So, Harlow was like "ooh, i must find out why!"
So then he built two wire mother monkeys, one clad in cloth, and one without cloth, but had a bottle of milk attached. It was seen that the baby monkey would hold on to the cloth mommy all through out the day and would occasionally go the milk mommy, have food, and then come back to cloth mommy. Harlow also saw that when the cloth mommy tried to reject the baby with spikes or strong winds, the baby would go away and then come back soon enough.
So Harlow called the blanket the Security Blanket, and the baby monkey's behavior- Attachment.
Harlow also said that babies need comfort and protection, not only food. And that is how Harlow, from a physician, became a psychologist!
I like this story, especially because I can totally relate. No, i dont have to choose between milk mommy and cloth mommy, but I went on a sleepover to my friend's the other day and i left my blanket at her place, and now i miss my blanket and have a tough time sleeping!! :(
I have to go get it back, asap.
Here is a picture of Harlow's baby monkey-
